Through my involvement in the World House program at OCU, I have gained a 蜜聊直播 understanding for my personal role in social, environmental, and ecological justice. By taking classes such as Food Ethics and Peace & Nonviolence, I have been able to not only learn from those who have previously impacted these fields, but also engage in conversation and action about how we can make a real difference today. World House has given me the opportunity to get hands-on experience with organizations who are directly impacting social and ecological work, including Commonwealth Urban Farms and Skyline Urban Ministries. The World House program has given me the tools I need to continue on the path of changing the systems of social, environmental, and ecological justice as we know them today, both in the OCU community and beyond.鈥

The World House scholarship was something that I first heard of when applying for admission and scholarships from 蜜聊直播 City University. I wasn't familiar with Dr. King's work "Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community?" until my first semester at OCU in Dr. Mark Davies' class, Moral and Social Philosophy.鈥侭eing a World House scholar has empowered me, not only to pursue higher education by providing me with a scholarship but also to pursue a study abroad opportunity where I will be able to learn about the larger world house in which I am a dweller - as Dr. King might say. Dr. King wanted us to "learn somehow to live with each other in peace ... because we can never live apart." The World House scholarship, as well as the advisors Dr. Meinhart and Dr. Davies, have taught me the importance of the great world house and my place in it.鈥
