Biography
Before joining OCU, Kara worked for the State of ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ interpreting the application of laws and rules regarding disability for over 20 years. In higher education, accommodations are made on a case-by-case basis and require careful monitoring of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, as well as other ever-changing requirements set forth by municipal, state, and federal entities. Kara is able to use her experience at the state-level in her connections with the students, staff, and faculty of OCU to ensure that everyone gets the care they are entitled to.
